COURSE INFORMATION

H₂S Alive – ENERGY SAFETY CANADA (ESC) is a one-day training program which meets the minimum standard in the Oil & Gas industry for H₂S (Hydrogen Sulphide) training.

This program developed by Energy Safety Canada, is intended for people who may potentially be exposed to Petroleum Industry – work environments where Hydrogen Sulphide (H₂S) may be present.

The purpose of this program is to create awareness of H₂S hazards, how to protect yourself from exposure, along with the ability to execute a basic response strategy in the event of an accidental exposure or release of this highly toxic gas.

Participants must be able to put on a SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus) Face mask and breathe under air.
Participants must be able to participate in rescue drag techniques using simulated rescue mannequins

• Participants receive a student manual in which they are able to follow along and take required notes as part of their participation.
• Upon successful completion of the required exam with a minimum score of 70% you will receive a Certificate of Completion that is valid for three years from Energy Safety Canada.
