Response Safety & Rescue Services was formed in 1992 to meet the demands and requests of various organizations by providing, qualified work at height and Confined Space, STAND-BY SAFETY & RESCUE TEAMS. These specialized teams, consisted of highly trained and experienced individuals in various disciplines of rescue and medical intervention.
To compliment our Stand-by Services, in 1994, Response Safety & Rescue Services offered, On-Site, Hazard Specific – SAFETY TRAINING.
Numerous times, workers would arrive on-site ready to work, however, did not have or posses the required certifications for site specific tasks such as Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) training, confined space entry training or work at height (Fall Protection) training.
While conducting various training programs, there was a high demand to train workers to a simple or generic entry level of RESCUE pertaining to certain, site specific techniques. As Provincial and Federal Legislative requirements along with Company’s “Codes of Practice” started to catch up with many already implemented INDUSTRY STANDARDS, which in turn, promoted and allowed all training programs to include a component of rescue within the program. This level of training is now evident in the majority of training programs that Response Safety & Rescue Services offers to date.
Response Safety & Rescue Services, now offers SAFETY EQUIPMENT SALES and has aligned itself with various manufactures and industry leaders of equipment sales, to be able to provide competitive prices on work and rescue specific safety equipment.
With each training program, students have the opportunity to identify and work with various pieces of safety equipment (HANDS-ON). This coupled with formal information and the ability to TRY certain pieces of equipment, allows students to make an informed decision, prior to purchasing equipment, especially for site-specific applications.
Over the years, Tracey and the Response Safety & Rescue Team, have provided SAFETY CONSULTING & AUDITING SERVICES, which include the assistance and development of various Emergency Response Plans and development of Company Specific, CODES of PRACTICE for numerous industries, to ensure compliance of current Provincial and Federal legislation.
