H2S Alive (ENERGY SAFETY CANADA)


PRESENTED  EVERY  TUESDAY  &  THURSDAY


1 Day  (8 hours)     Certification:  3 years


H2S Alive (ENERGY SAFETY CANADA – ESC) is a one-day training program which meets the minimum standard in the Oil & Gas industry for H2S (Hydrogen Sulphide) training.

This program is intended for people who may potentially be exposed to work environments where H2S may be present.

The purpose of this program is to create awareness of H2S hazards, how to protect yourself from exposure along with the ability to execute a basic response strategy in the event of an accidental exposure or release.

Participants will receive a student manual in which they will be able to follow along and take required notes as part of their participation.

Topics Include:

  • H2S Physical Properties
  • Health Hazards and Locations
  • Detection of H2S
  • Initial Response Strategy
  • Hazard Assessment and Control
  • Respiratory Protective Equipment
  • Rescue Techniques

Full participation, hands-on demonstrations and a written examination are required to successfully complete the program and receive certification which is valid for 3 years.

H2S Awareness is a half-day training program which provides general information of H2S (Hydrogen Sulphide) to individuals or organizations based on site-specific applications.

This program is intended for people who may potentially be exposed to work environments where H2S may be present.

The purpose of this program is to create awareness of H2S hazards and how to avoid exposure.

Participants will receive a student manual in which they will be able to follow along and take required notes as part of their participation.

The instructor will demonstrate the use of respiratory protection including proper gas testing techniques.  

Topics Include:

  • H2S Physical Properties
  • Health Hazards and Locations
  • Detection of H2S
  • Initial Response Strategy
  • Hazard Assessment and Control
  • Respiratory Protective Equipment

Full participation, with instructor lead demonstrations and a written examination are required to successfully complete the program and receive certification which is valid for 3 years.
